Directions

Take I-93 to exit 8 (Bridge St.) take bridge St. all the way to Beech St.. Take a left onto Beech. Follow Beech all the way to Valley. Take a left onto Valley, then your first left onto Maple Street. The Youth Center is about halfway down the block on your right.

History

Originally a gas station, the City purchased the property in 1971 and used it as a storage garage until 1997. Using Federal Grant Funds, the property was converted into the Maple Street Youth Center in 1997. In 2001 the building was renamed the Regis Lemaire Youth Center, in honor of retired Director of Office of Youth Services, Regis Lemaire.

Hours & Amenities

Open from 4:00PM to 9:30PM, the Center serves youth ages 12 to 18.

There are four computers, laser printer, color printer, digital camera, and scanner. A TV and VCR, foosball and ping pong tables, and plenty of comfortable chairs for fun. There is a conference room for quiet study, and refrigerator and microwave for a quick snack.
