How does one get a Manchester City Library card?
You must live, work full time, attend school or own property in Manchester. A valid photo ID and current address, work, or school information is required. If you do not live, work full time, attend school, or own property in Manchester, you must pay a non-resident fee of $30 per year. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to obtain a card. Parents or guardians are legally responsible for any fines or fees incurred by minors.

What kinds of materials does the Manchester City Library lend?
Both the Main Branch and the West Manchester Community Library lend books, magazines, videos, DVDs, audiobooks on tape, audiobooks on CD, software CDs, music CDs, and music tapes. The Main Branch also lends Framed Art Prints.

What is GMILCS, Inc. and how does it help Manchester City Library’s patrons?
The Manchester City library belongs to a group of nine public libraries and three academic libraries called GMILCS, Inc. GMILCS, Inc. shares an online catalog, allowing Manchester City Library patrons to see all materials owned at GMILCS member libraries. You can request delivery of materials from any GMILCS library to the Manchester City Library or the West Manchester Community Library. These nine GMILCS libraries allow Manchester City Library patrons to borrow their materials, although some limitations apply: Amherst Town Library, Bedford Public Library, Derry Public Library, Goffstown Public Library, Hooksett Public Library, Merrimack Public Library, Wadleigh Library in Milford, New England College Danforth Library, and the Salem Kelley Library.
