NH Institute for Local Public Health Practice

at Manchester

Through the aid of funding provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
New Hampshire has a wonderful opportunity to address the common objective and need of
developing a competent, and prepared public health workforce. The Manchester Health
Department, in collaboration with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human
Services, developed the New Hampshire Institute for Local Public Health Practice (NHILPHP).

With the current threat of public health emergencies, there is an ever-increasing need for a competent workforce proficient in the skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary for emergency preparedness. The NHILPHP aims to provide public health training courses to augment professional education through the development of leadership and practical skills for local public health staff
and others throughout the region. Please click HERE to download an NHILPHP Brochure.

Detailed information regarding our current courses can be found under the link "NHILPHP Course Offerings."
